Google is launching Gemini 2.0! Here’s the date

Ana sayfa / News

Google is preparing to launch Gemini 2.0 in December, which will further solidify its name in the field of artificial intelligence. While the Gemini 1.0 model, which was introduced in December last year, was popular among artificial intelligence users, the new version is expected to come with much more powerful features. Here are the details…

First, Google integrated the 1.0 Pro version into Bard, followed by the 1.0 Ultra version with Gemini Advanced. We are now expecting 2.0 to be a more comprehensive model than the previous versions. Google will build Gemini 2.0 on the features of Gemini 1.5, such as the expanded context window.

However, the development process of the new version is not exempt from challenges. According to reports, Google’s Gemini team has struggled to get the performance boost they expected. This is not only true for Google, but also for other major language model development companies.

In fact, it’s an indication that despite the rapid development of AI, some technical limitations have yet to be overcome. Still, Google’s team is not giving up; they are working hard to improve performance by the end of this year.

Meanwhile, Google’s strategy for this large-scale release includes not only written content but also innovative projects such as Project Astra. With this project, Gemini 2.0 is planned to increase its visual processing capacity by adding camera and imaging capabilities.

Google is expected to introduce this project at the same time, but it is still unclear how it will balance the two major innovations. Also, the possibility of OpenAI releasing a new model in December is on the agenda, but the details are not yet finalized.
